After a brief lull of two days, cross LoC shelling took place in Kalal area of Nowshera sector on Monday morning putting school going students in severe hardships.
As per Sarpanch of the Kalal Deeing area, Ramesh Chowdhary, firing started at 11:30 AM and Pakistani side restored to heavy cross border firing and shelling.
” Not only LoC area but civilian population was also targeted and shells landed close to our houses,’ he added.
Firing and shelling with the use of both small arms and heavy weapons continued for over two hours after which uneasy calm is prevailing.
Meanwhile, students studying in government middle school Deeing got stuck inside schools due to sudden unprovoked firing from Pakistani side.
Locals said that after closure of seven days, schools in LoC areas were opened today and normal classes were going on when shelling started and students got stuck who remain confined inside school for quite much time.
