Rajouri,May,25: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today conducted an extensive tour of forward areas along Line of Control in Nowshera and inspected the construction of Bunkers in various villages of the sub division Nowshera.
BDO Nowshera and other revenue officers accompanied the DC. The team visited several villages including Bhajnowa, Danaka, Namb and Gania.
The DC inspected the bunkers viz-a-viz locations selected, quality of work, design and community ownership for maintenance. He visited the under construction bunkers and also convened a meeting with locals and representatives.
Block Development officer apprised Deputy Commissioner Rajouri that there are 676 bunkers to be constructed in Block Nowshera along LoC by RDD out of which work on 520 has been started.He further informed that 40 bunkers have been completed in all respect and 120 are the verge of completion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Government has handed over the 1892 bunkers both individual and community from PWD to RDD.Till date work on 1408 has been started and are at different phases of execution.
Block Development Officer was asked to complete the work on bunkers under construction within the stipulated time and also start the work on the remaining identified sites before 31st of May to achieve the target.He asked the officers to work in mission mode to complete the entire project within set deadlines.
