Indian Army in its continuous efforts to motivate the youth of the nation has undertaken a variety of programmes for the youth. In continuing with the same spirit, a Nukkad Drama for students of Government Higher Secondary School, Patnazi was organized on the topic “Awareness Drive on Pollution”.
The aim of the drama was not only to create awareness amongst locals but also arrest the damage wherever possible. The event included a series of drama by school students, who highlighted the damage being caused to the environment by human beings resulting in climate change, global warming and environment pollution. They were made to understand the importance of environment on which our survival depends upon.
At the end of the event, the students were explained about the preventative measures being taken to preserve the environment which included proper disposal of plastic bags and natural resources, garbage, use of pesticides, conservation of fuel and afforestation. A total of 02 teachers, 65 students and 08 locals attended the awareness drive.
The initiative by Indian Army was highly appreciated by students who thanked the Army and requested for more such awareness events in future. The conduct of such dramas will go a long way in helping the youth of the region as well as increase their awareness levels.
