MENDHAR: Rafia Begum, age-69 yrs of village – Khanettar, Tehsil – Mendhar, District – Poonch was bitten by a poisonous snake while she was cutting grass in field.
She was brought to 49 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Medical Inspection Room (Basoni) in a critical condition by her relatives. She had developed systemic symptoms and her vitals were unstable.

Timely infusion of Antisnake Venom and other treatment was given by the Bn Medical Officer because of which she stabilized. After being stabilized, she was referred to Government Hospital, Mendhar, where she is out of danger now. Locals of Area thanks indian army to save a life of Rafia Begum.
