Mendhar 31 July: Heavy rain created havoc in Mendhar sub division different villages this morning again as flooded water from lanes entered residential houses causing extensive damage to the public property.
Reports said that, heavy rains last night caused floods in several nallahs including Mendhar River. Due to the flood in Chhatral Nallah, the culvert temporarily repaired by R&B Mendhar authorities, was washed away which affected the vehicular movement in the area.
He said dozens of students and villagers were stranded on either side of the road as there was major in Chhatral Nullah.
Soon after the flood water receded, people started moving through the nallah and the vehicles started trans-ship movement on the either side even as link to Sakhi Maidan, Jugal and Chhatral villages remained snapped, they said.

Arzoo Bi, Ram sandok Sharma, Haji Bashir Khan, Tanveer Qureshi, Dilshad Jatt said that the same culvert was also washed away during last year’s floods, while according to him “no proper repair work was initiated by the R&B authorities.”
Demanding construction of a concrete culvert, Locals urged higher authorities to intervene and redress the people’s genuine problem.
SDM Sahil Jandyal said that this is a seasonal flood and I will talk to concerned department to improve road conicitivty in Mendhar. He also confirmed army rescue some students in chattral area of Mendhar.
