UNPROVOKED CEASEFIRE VIOLATION BY PAKISTAN ARMY IN MENDHAR AND KRISHNA GHATI SECTORS(J&K)

Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the line of control in Mendhar and Krishna Ghati Sectors, District Poonch(J&K).
In the exchange of fire in Mendhar Sector, Naik Ravi Ranjan Kumar Singh attained martyrdom. Naik Ravi Ranjan Kumar Singh, aged 36 years belonged to Village Gope Bigha, Tehsil Dehrionson, District Rotasa, Bihar and is survived by his wife, Smt Rita Devi.
He was a brave, highly motivated and sincere soldier. The Nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.

Indian Army responded strongly and effectively. Heavy damage to Pakistan Army posts and casualties to Pakistan soldiers have been inflicted by own troops.
