Bovines smuggling bid foiled, 131 bovine animals rescued, 7 arrested


JAMMU: Ramsoo police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 131 bovine animals and arrested seven bovine smugglers. On specific information through reliable sources, a team from Ramsoo police station laid a naka near police station Ramsoo and intercepted seven vehicles (5 trucks and 2 Tata mobile ) bearing registration number JK03F 5151, JK22A 0677, JK03J 3609, JK22A 3636, JK14G 5647, JK14F 7960, JK05C 0939
During checking, police team headed by Dr Sumit Sharma, DySP (prob ) SHO Ramsoo rescued 131 bovine animals from the vehicles who were moving from Ramban towards Kashmir valley without valid permission. In this regard, police party arrested seven persons, who were identified as Noor Mohd Dar R/o nagam, kokernag, Mushtaq Ahmad R/o Chanderkote, Muzzafar Ahmad, R/o changis, Anantnag, Gulzar Ahmad R/o Nagam, kokernag, Saddam Hussain, R/o khari Udhampur, Qasib Hussain , R/o khari ladeyi Udhampur, Zafran Ahmad R/o Banihal.
Cases under FIR’s number 23/2020, 24/2020, 25/2020, 26/2020, 27/2020, 28/2020, 29/2020 under section 188 IPC and 3 PC Act have been registered at police station Ramsoo and investigation started.
Police team led by DySP (prob) Sh Sumit Sharma , SHO Ramsoo made the arrest under the Supervision of SDPO Banihal Sh Ashish Gupta , Addl SP Ramban Sh Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Sh Haseeb ur Rahman.
