MENDHAR 18 May :With uncertainty looming over the 2020-2021 academic session of Students in the wake of the COVID-19 Student Leader And Social activist Dilshad Qadri on Sunday said the student community has suffered and is still suffering a huge loss with slow speed internet services in J&K . Under such circumstances, mass promotion of students to the next semester as per UGC protocol that are based on internal assessment is the only solution.
In a statement, Dilsahd said educational institutions across the country are arranging interactive online classes to help students during the COVID-19 lockdown, students in Jammu and Kashmir students are unable to join classes to keep pace with their counterparts in other states due to low speed internet in the valley.
4G ban has done enough damage to J&K students.He said that the university should not compare both the academic and mental condition of their students with other students of the country .Around 60% students reside in rural areas and 40% of them hail from lower income families.They don’t have internet or laptops. J&K Students have missed the online classes as our internet connection becomes abruptly low speed.he added.
