Dr Banarsi gets International distinguished researcher Award

Jammu: Dr.Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Senior Scientist &Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has bagged the International Distinguished Researcher Award on the basis of his meritorious achievements and remarkable accomplishments in the field of agriculture. The award was conferred by the esteem Green Thinkers Z Society. Dr.Banarsi has developed an innovative Mathematical Communication Model which is unique in itself to assess the communication behavior of farmers and has been widely recognized at national and international level. He has also done extensive research work on entertainment farm education, attitude and beavioural measurements of the farmers. He was the gold medalist during his post graduation and his doctorate is from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, UP which is the premiere institute of the world. Dr.Banarsi has been working at KVK, Reasi for more than 12 years and upgrading the farming community of hilly areas with the agril. approaches. He is also working on some innovative projects ongoing in Reasi distt. for the rural youths and tribal farmers. Dr.Banarsi has written more than 500 publications as research papers in national and international journals, books and book chapters, technical bulletins, leaflets, folders, popular and research articles, success stories/case studies, training manuals, short communications etc.
