COVID-19 Pandemic

• IGP Jammu chairs officers meeting; reviews security scenario /Law & order besides measures being taken to contain the spread of COVID -19 .
• Thwart nefarious designs of ANEs & their mentors across the IB/LOC and launch anti militancy operations especially in hilly areas.
• Monitor the investigation of terror related cases so that these cases are challaned in the court of law in time bound manner :; Shri Mukesh Singh Jammu, 4th June, 2020:- Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone Jammu , Sh. Mukesh Singh-IPS convened a meeting through video conference with Range DIsG and District SSsP of Jammu Zone in order to review security scenario/ law and order and other general issues of Jammu province including COVID -19 Pandemic etc.

During meeting a detailed briefing was given one by one by Range DIsG and District SSsP of Jammu Zone with regard overall security scenario, terror related activities and measures initiated by them to prevent spread of Corona virus in their respective districts.
In view of the inputs received from intelligence agencies and recent infiltration attempt on LOC in District Rajouri, IGP Jammu briefed the officers to activate all resources available with them and maintain utmost alertness to prevent such infiltration attempts in future and thwart nefarious designs of ANEs and their mentors across the IB/LOC. The district SSsP were also directed to fully activate SOG component and launch anti militancy operations especially in hilly areas of Chenab valley, Rajouri-Poonch Range and Udhampur- Reasi Range so that the area is free from residual militancy.
Sh. Mukesh Singh–IPS, IGP Jammu, also directed district SSsP to closely monitor the investigation of terror related cases so that these cases are challaned in the court of law in time bound manner and wherever required necessary sanction is obtained from the Government within the prescribed time limit.
The meeting was attended by Range DIsG and District SSsP of Jammu Zone through video conference whereas DIG JSK Range, SSP Jammu, SO to IGP Jammu Zone and SSP PCR, Jammu attended the meeting in person from the office of IGP Jammu.
