JK NEWS UPDATES ,Kathua June 06: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, a team of Police Station Hiranagar succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid, rescued 18 bovine animals and seized the vehicles so involved.
Today on 06.05.2020 a Police team of Police Station Hiranagar during patrolling/checking duty reached at Badholi intercepted 02 Mahindra Bolero bearing registration No.JK08E-9033 and JK08D-8790 coming from Dayala Chack towards Udhampur which were signalled to stop for checking. On seeing police party drivers of the said vehicles stop their vehicles by roadside and fled away from the spot by taking the advantage of darkness. On checking of said vehicles 03/03 bovine were found loaded in both vehicles which shows that they are doing illegally transporting the bovine animals without the permission of DM.
In this Regards, case FIR No 35/2020 U/S 188/ IPC, 11 PCA Act. at Police Station Hiranagar and started investigation into it.
Meanwhile in an another action of Police action of team of P/S Hiranagar while on regular patrolling at Sunkhal, 02 persons alongwith 12 bovine animals were on foot from Sunkhal towards Udhampur. Police party stopped said persons and enquired regarding the transportation of bovine animals. During inquiry persons disclosed their name as Sheru S/o Ghammi and Din S/o Sheru both are resident of Jandhyari Tehsil Ramnagar District Udhampur which shows that said persons have illegally doing the transportation of bovine animals without any DM permission.
Whereas DM Kathua imposed restrictions through notifications on the transportation of animal from one District to another and vice versa.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 34/2020 U/S 188/IPC was registered at P/S Hiranagar against Sheru S/o Ghammi and Din S/o Sheru both are resident of Jandhyari Tehsil Ramnagar District Udhampur. Both the accused arrested by police and further investigation is still going on.
