Lauding the security forces for showing exemplary control on their action during the Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) against militants, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Monday said synergy and understanding between different security agencies have yielded good results.
He said during operation restraining emotions and actions is very challenging but the forces on ground in Jammu and Kashmir have shown exemplary control on their actions many times in the past.
Interacting with the officers and jawans of JKP and CRPF at Police Golf Course Srinagar  police chief said that the synergy and understanding between the different forces  have yielded good results a number of times and added that in future too the success will be ours.
He said that the handling of law and order during the operation and post operation is praiseworthy and commended the officers of Police and CRPF who participated in the encounter in the down town in which three militants were killed on Sunday. He said that in this operation too, the officers have taken every chance to make the militants surrender. He said that repeated appeals were made by the Police, family members and community members to them to surrender and shun the path of violence.  He said the militants were involved in the attack of BSF party in Pandach area of Hazratbal on 20.05.2020 in which two BSF Jawans attained martyrdom. The weapons decamped by militants after the attack were also recovered.
The DGP said that our commitment is to provide a peaceful atmosphere for the people of J&K, and added that youth of Jammu and Kashmir lured by the Pakistan sponsored terror outfits and their supporters, have always been given an opportunity to shun the path of violence and live a peaceful life with their loved ones.

The DGP exhorted upon the officers and Jawans to be extra vigilant and careful as the elements inimical to peace and the militant handlers across the border are anxious to disturb the peace and order in the Union Territory. He stressed on the necessity to keep Srinagar city free from the militancy and also emphasized to work on the networks associated with terror modules operating in other regions of Kashmir having linkages to Srinagar
