Dr Younus Alleges bunlging in Construction of Bunkers in Poonch

Jammu, 23/July/2020: Alleging mass scale of bungling in allotment and construction of bunkers in district Poonch and more specifically in border blocks including Mendhar, Mankote and Balakote, Internation Gujjar Mahasabha have leveled serious allegations on the district administration Poonch for their reprehensible approach and the way the individual and community bunkers are allotted to people.

Dr Younus Choudhary, J & K U.T Chairman of International Gujjar Mahasabha alleged that the bunkers are allotted without following any rationale method or specified criteria and said that in fact the villages and Panchayats near the LoC that deserved these bunkers are kept out of the so called list prepared by the revenue department of Poonch.

Dr Younus asked Deputy Commissioner Poonch to issue a white paper and inform the people of Poonch about total number of Individual and Community bunkers so far constructed in border areas of the district, amount spent on each such construction and also detail of construction material used.

Gujjar Mahasabha leader also said that some villages and Patwar Halqas are preferred while others are completely ignored and demanded that district administration must identify the black sheeps in bureaucracy who have committed this scam.

Dr. informed that Government of India have released crores of rupees for construction of bunkers in border areas of district Poonch but on ground there appears no such development and daily our innocent people residing near LoC are being killed in cross border shelling from Pakistan people have the right to know that which officer and department failed to construct these bunkers in time. He also asked district administration Poonch to learn some lesson from neighboring district Rajouri wherein more than double bunkers have been built within the same time but here in Poonch administration is giving only fake excuses.
