Overloaded Tata Sumo mishap in mendhar 11 injured

Mendhar : Atleast eleven person have received multiple injuries in a Overloaded Tata Sumo accident that have taken place at Behra village of Mendhar sub division of Poonch district.

Police Sources said that accident took place on Thursday morning 11 am when a Tata sumo bearing number JK02AB-5463 skidded off the road and eleven person travelling in it got injured.

Injured Identified Namely Muzamil Hussain son of Mohd Hussain 21, Raza Majid son of Abdul Majeed 24, Mohd Ayoob son of Mohammd hussain 60, Mazar hayat son of Suleman 34, Mohd Sageer son of Gulab Deen 27, Majid Ali son of Mohd Shreef 26, Mohd Raqeeb son of Bahdur Khan 30, Waseem Ahmed son of Mir Hussain 25,Rehan son of Mohd Lateef 33, mohin ul haq son of Zaffar iqbal 28, all are residents Behara Village and Wazeer Mohd son of Lal deen 65 resident of Salwah Village.

Four seriously Injured Passenger refer to Govt Medical college and Hospital Rajouri for advance treatment.

Block Medical Officer Mendhar Dr. Parvez Khan said that eleven person were hospitalised in hospital at Mendhar out of which four have been referred to Rajouri GMC Associated Hospital due to their serious condition.

Meanwhile locals have expressed strong resentment over poor implementation of norms as only 50% of passengers are allowed in vehicles due to Corona virus pandemic but Tata sumos in Mendhar are ferrying overloaded number of passengers. He has also questioned the police, constantly driving drivers over the capacity of the vehicle, accidents are happening every day, people have appealed to IGP Jammu, you should give initiation instructions to Mendhar Police and these drivers It can be taken so that there is no major accident in the coming months.
