DC Poonch discusses modalities regarding Janbaghidari abhiyan and phase-III of B2V to be commencing soon in the district

Asks the concerned to work with utmost dedication to ensure the successful conduct of the programmes in the district

Poonch,September,06:The Deputy Commissioner Poonch,Rahul Yadav on Sunday chaired a meeting of the district and sectoral officers of the district to discuss with them the various modalities regarding Janbaghidari Abhiyan and the third phase of the back to village programme to be commencing soon in all the districts of the UT.

A detailed discussion was held in the meeting regarding several measures to be taken for the successful implementation of the Janbaghidari Abhiyan and third phase of the B2V programme in all Panchayats of the district.

While speaking during the meeting the Deputy Commissioner said that the UT Government has decided to start an ambitious Janbaghidari Abhiyan in the districts before starting the third phase of the B2V. He informed that the Janbaghidari Abhiyan is a three week long programme which shall commence on 10 september and culminate on 30 september,2020 and all the district and sectoral officer shall remain stationed at the respective headquarters from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM except on Wednesday and Sunday to document various public grievances.

The Deputy Commissioner added that after Janbaghidari Abhiyan will commence the third phase of the ambitious back to village programme from October 2-12.He specified the objective of the programme saying that that the programme has four major goals including taking feedback from the public on delivery of government schemes and programmes,capturing specific economic potential and undertaking assessment of needs of villages.

The Deputy Commissioner said the flagship programme has generated huge interest,affection and respect among the people and the UT Government has decided another version of the programme in the form of Phase-III of B2V.
He said that the Phase-I of B2V was an introductory and interactive programme to understand the public grievances and demands while the Phase-II focused on the devolution of powers to panchayats and tried to understand how these panchayats are functioning and what are the grievances and demands and Phase-III has been designed on the format for grievance redressal.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that constructive approach, commitment,serious hardwork and confidence to face any challenging situation is required to ensure successful conduct of the programmes in the district.

He asked the concerned officers to generate massive awareness among the masses about the programmes and also motivate them to ensure healthy participation can be ensured during the programmes and objectives of the programmes can be fulfilled.

The Deputy Commissioner has directed the concerned officers to work in close coordination and with added zeal and utmost dedication and also ensure that all the genuine demands and issues are listened with great care and are redressed in a better manner.

The meeting was attended by SSP Ramesh Angral, ACD Rajesh Lakhan,ACR Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Xen PDD, Xen R&B, AEE PWD, Social Welfare Officer SDM, Tehsildars, DPO Mukhlis Ali,LDM A.K Gupta besides all district/sectoral officers officers.
