MENDHAR 16 Sep: To boost people centric governance through PRIs and enforcing transparency in the development process “Pre- Back to Village-3” activities under Jan Abhiyan were today intensified across Mendhar Sub division of Poonch District.

People in good numbers participated in the Jan Sunvayee and Adhikar Abhiyan camps to project their demands and avail various services at their doorsteps.
The District Administration teams took appraisal of local issues from the Block Development Chairpersons, Sarpanchs and general public. The Officers gave a patient hearing and maximum issues were redressed on the spot with intervention of the concerned departmental functionaries.

Officers of different departments conducted meetings with PRIs and the public to ensure saturation of individual beneficiaries of all Centrally sponsored social assistance and welfare schemes.
Jan Sunvayee meetings were held in Block Mendhar,Balakot and Mankot where detailed discussion was held regarding different development projects besides issues being faced by the common masses of different panchayats.

Sub Divisional magistrate (SDM) Mendhar Dr Sahil Jandyal said that the allocation of Rs 10 lakh each to panchayats for execution of works, deliverance of governance at doorsteps are among the key features of Jammu and Kashmir government’s ambitious Jan Abhiyan program.

The people of Mendhar thanked to Lieutenant Governor Union Territory Manoj Sinha, who took the appropriate decision in which the problems of the people would be resolved immediately after hearing them. They said that he is fully cooperating with us from the administration, in which everyone’s problems were heard and resolved immediately.
