LG Sinha visits family of slain goldsmith, assure probe

Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) Lt Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Wednesday visited the family of goldsmith Satpal Nischal who was killed by unidentified gunmen at his shop in Srinagar on December 31, 2021.
An official spokesman said Mr Sinha, accompanied by Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar and other officials visited the house of late Nischal in Indira Nagar in Badami Bagh cantonment area of the city.
Mr Sinha conveyed heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family and assured them all possible support from the government.
He also assured them a time-bound probe to bring culprits to justice.
