Jammu Police arrested a man for killing his younger brother.
As per police sources, a complaint was received on June 3 this year from a person namely Kuldeep Singh of Nanak Nagar at present Sainik Colony that a dead body with injury marks was found in his under construction house at Sainik Colony.
On this, a team from Police Post Sainik Colony rushed to the spot and called team of FSL and conducted crime photography and videography of the scene of crime. Later, the dead body was shifted to GMC Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 104/2021 under Section 302 IPC was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Karan Chalotra and assisted by Incharge Police Post Sainik Colony SI Rahul Dogra was constituted under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar.
The team by connecting various leads ascertained that the dead body was identified as Mahesh Harijan Verma, son of Kashi Parsad, a resident of Chattarpur Madhya Pradesh, at present slum area Sector C, Sainik Colony District Jammu.
By using human and technical aid, the team finally arrested the elder brother of the deceased, who confessed his involvement in the case.
During sustained questioning, the accused disclosed that he killed his brother over some heated arguments.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
