Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today conducted a whirlwind tour of Katra area and reviewed enforcement of Covid safety guidelines and vaccination process.
During the inspection of main areas of Katra town, he inquired about the measures taken to enforce the Covid Appropriate Behaviour in the Markets and other public places.
The DC also ascertained and discussed the possibility of relaxing some restrictions with the officials and stakeholders considering the improvement in COVID scenario in the district.
Charandeep Singh asked the Shopkeepers and Dhabas walas to follow the COVID SOPs strictly and do not allow customers inside without face masks.
Later, the DC chaired a meeting with the officers and officials of different Departments. He asked the PDD and PWD to establish the Control room at Katra, to enable the public to directly contact the concerned departments regarding any problem.
On this Occasion, Charandeep Singh asked BMO to increase the testing and scale up awareness related to Vaccination so that the 100% population of the area is vaccinated.
