Shoaib Bashir, a psychology student and an emerging talent from Kashmir committed suicide few days back as he couldn’t pay his college fees. In a suicide letter written by him, he informed that his Father, inspite being a Government Teacher didn’t receive his salary since the lockdown started.
Shaken by the mishap, Administration released salary of 600 Government employees. However, this act hasn’t helped the youth of Jammu and Kashmir much.
This revenue was collected by the Department through job application forms filled by the aspiring candidates for Government jobs. For your information, JKSSB charges Rs. 350 for a single form for a non gazetted post where as UPSC charges only Rs. 100.
