Theft attempt in Bishnah, family faces loss worth 80,000

A theft attempt was reported from a Bunglow in Motika Colony at Bishnah in Jammu. The attempt happened on the night of Raksha Bandhan when the family was out for celebrations.

According to family members, the thieves threw the flower pots and broke all the door locks, however, there wasn’t much to rob.

“It was Raksha Bandhan and my family visited my Brother’s house. Returning next day, we saw open doors with broken locks. All the household stuff was on the floor. Our locker was open. In fact, cushions were torn by the thieves.” said the House owners

The Family has filed a complaint in Bishnah Police Station about the robbery.

“Police visited our House and noted the details. They aren’t currently working on the case but the loss is around Rs. 80,000 which is huge for us.” they added

Theft cases have reportedly increased in Jammu region over the years. The family has requested an investigation on the matter.

“An investigation should be conducted. Police must do regular patrolling to keep watch on these thieves as the danger of robberies is increasing.” they said
