Education Department Announces holidays in summer and winter zone schools of Jammu Division

Jammu and Kashmir Education Department has announced holidays in the summer and Winter Zone schools of the Jammu Division. Summer and Winter are two separate zones in Jammu Division. The summer zone consists of plains, while the winter zone consists of high mountainous areas where snowfall occurs in Winter.

According to the order issued by the Principal Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Education Department, BK Singh, there will be a holiday in the schools in the summer zone from December 24, 2021, to January 2, 2022, while the schools in the winter zone will remain closed from December 13, 2021, to February 28, 2022. . Even during the holidays, the school will interact with the children at least once a week and solve their problems. At the same time, teachers have also been instructed that they will be in touch with the children through phone and WhatsApp and help them complete their syllabus.

These instructions will apply to all government and private schools. On the other hand, Principal Secretary BK Singh says that all schools will strictly follow this calendar of holidays. Strict action will be taken against schools not following the instructions. In Jammu and Kashmir, schools are closed due to Corona. Schools have not been able to open since March 2021 after the spread of Corona, but children’s online education is going on; during the holidays, schools will not even make children study online. However, from time to time, the school will keep in touch with the children and help them in their studies during the holidays so that the children can be resolved in case of any doubts.

The education department has already announced the Winter holidays in the schools of the Kashmir division. The schools in the Kashmir division run along with the winter zone schools of the Jammu division. There too, schools are closed for about two and a half months due to snowfall in Winter.
