MENDHAR:Today as the Nation is celebrating its 73rd Republic Day, Indian Army living up to its tradition of sharing joy and happiness, outreached on orphanage named Nari Niketan located in Mendhar, with 26 Girls and 04 Widows as destitute occupants. Children especially girls are our future, thus providing basic amenities & empowering them is the responsibility of all citizens.

With the above aim in mind, Barasingha Battalion under the aegis of Krishna Ghati Brigade celebrated Republic Day with the occupants of Nari Niketan wherein the flag was hoisted and the National Anthem was played. The event was followed by distribution of woolen clothes, sports items, sweets and stationary items to the kids. On this occasion, Army also established Badminton Court as sports facility, Gyser for bathroom as a basic amenity alongwith health checkup & medical care. This gesture of Army was well received and appreciated by all.
