Like other states of the country, the Jammu and Kashmir government is also preparing to open schools. There is a proposal to open summer zone schools from February 20. Under this, the first 10th and 12th students will be called to the school. After this, classes 11th, 9th and 8th will be given a chance. Schools will also be opened for young children from March if the situation remains normal. Whereas in the winter zone, the school is preparing to open from March.
For this, the State School Education Department has prepared and sent a proposal. After reviewing this proposal, the Disaster Management Department will approve. According to an official of the School Education Department, preparations have been started to open the schools. Due to the school’s closure for a long time, now the parents are also demanding to open the school.
We have sent the proposal to the government. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has also recently indicated to open schools in 15 days. Students coming to school will have to follow all the rules related to Corona. Only children who have received both vaccine doses will be called to the school. The rules of mask and social distance will be strictly followed in the school.
Schools were opened for 10th and 12th students on September 20 2021, after being closed for several months due to a corona infection. These schools have been running closed since March 2020. But in January 2022, these schools were closed again after the infection increased.
