Poonch: Hundreds of people paid their obeisance at the shrine of Peer Baba Hazarat Mehar Ali Shah near the Line of Control in Mendhar during Two-days Urs which concluded today.
Urs Mela at the shrine of Peer Baba is organized every year at village Railan Gohlad in Mendhar Sub Division of Poonch District. The shrine is located just closer to the LoC and similar Mela is organised by the people living LOC Area. The people from Poonch and Rajouri, besides other adjoining districts visit the shrine during Urs.
The programme was organised by the Ziarat Management Committee had made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of this programnme.
A large community `Langar’ was also arranged for the devotees visiting this shrine from all areas of these border districts.
On this occasion, Shahzad Malik JK-BADC Chairman and Former VC Sai Nath University said that for the last two years, due to the epidemic, the Urs program could not be done on a large scale, while this year program was done with great enthusiasm, in which Peer Baba was prayed for in our country May peace mutual brotherhood prevails.
